Make a massive mess

Remove all your clothes and make piles by categories:

• Dresses

• Tops

• Pants

• Skirts, etc.

From there, decide what you want to keep, donate, or archive.

Start an archive system

If you have a small closet, chances are you don't have the space for all your clothes. This is where boxes and an archive system come in handy. Organize the clothes you don't want to wear often, take pictures, and box them up. Each picture should go in a folder that corresponds with the box. This makes it easier to locate the clothes you want that aren't hanging in your closet.

Group items together by category:

• Long dresses

• Short dresses

• Pants

• Skirts

• Tops, etc.

From there, arrange by color. I also personally have a clothing rack for all my business clothes, as well as one for all my coats.
