Life is hard. No one ever said it would be easy but being an adult, supporting yourself, finding your purpose, caring for others, and feeling great all at the same time certainly isn't easy. But it's fine, everything is fine.
I won't pretend I found the secret to making life as easy as possible, but these hacks might help.
7 Adulting Hacks
Wash your pillowcases
At least every 7-10 days to avoid sweat, oil, and grime build up.
Make a spending budget
Have a rough idea of how much you want to save and how much you need to spend in order to survive.
Have a recipe rotation
Incorporate your favorite things to eat that you won't get sick of in order to eliminate the stress of planning too many meals each week.
Clean a little everyday
"Saving it for Sunday" is nice until it's Tuesday and you're surrounded by clutter. Tackle one room a day and you'll feel significantly better.
Take accountability for things
Apologize, explain good intentions, and take accountability. It sets a good example for those around you. It allows you to establish trust and create a safe space for you and those around you.
Embrace Alone time
Transitioning into adult mode can be difficult when you're used to doing everything with friends or family. Embracing time alone can do wonders for your mental health.
Take daunting tasks one day at a time
Remind yourself you don't have to do it all at once. Set up a plan of small, actionable tasks, don't overthink it.
