How I Choose An Outfit For A Family Gathering

When it comes to picking out an outfit to wear when I am around family, I personally try to be as conservative as possible.

The first thing I remind myself is that my family members are not my friends. They deserve respect, which means dressing appropriately in front of them.

Second I try to avoid pants that have holes in them. Of course, this is sometimes unavoidable with today’s fashion, so I try and avoid multiple and large holes in the pants legs.

I avoid shirts that are extremely low cut or see through (and if they are I have a tank top underneath). And I wear shorts and skirts that are at an appropriate length.

There is no need for me to go to these lengths when picking out an outfit. At the end of the day I know i can wear whatever I want and my family will still love me, but for my comfort and peace of mind this is the way I go about this.
