As humans, we all have bad habits, and I'll be the first to admit that I am not perfect. Despite knowing my bad habits and exactly what needs to be done to break them, I haven't conquered them all.
Here are some strategies to help you break a bad habit. How long it takes of course, is entirely up to you and your level of determination.
Make a list of what problems the habit causes for you (and even the people around you).
Make a list of how quitting the habit would benefit you.
Decide how much you actually want, or need to quit.
Answer the questionL what purpose does this habit serve you and why you do it?
Find something else to take the habits place.
Set goals and reward yourself for your accomplishments.
Get help, there is absolutely nothing wrong with getting help from friends, family, or a professional.
No matter what habits you decide to change, be patient with yourself. You got this!
