This month, I had the pleasure of going to Boca Raton, Florida for a bachelorette trip. My cousin is getting married, and I am a bridesmaid!! It took many months of planning , texting in a group chat, and meeting on Zoom to make everything just right.
My flight left from Newark Airport early Thursday morning, and when I landed in Florida, the atmosphere was charged, and the girls were ready to party. We started the trip off with mimosas and some talk, and when we finally made it to the Air BnB and got settled in, we were ready to start the party.
The house was beautiful, and had a spacious backyard with an in-ground pool. Naturally, we all drifted outside and were lounging by the pool until the stripper came. Oh boy the stripper. This was my first experience, and let me tell you, it was an interesting one. But the night was fun, and I made some great memories, one's that I will NEVER forget ;)
Friday morning we cleaned the house, had some coffee, ate breakfast, and got ready for the day ahead of us. We were going to be on a boat for four hours, so naturally we packed up some drinks, snacks and food, and A LOT of sunscreen.
We had an amazing time on the boat, we wore the shirts I designed and my brother made, we drank, danced, sunbathed, and did some swimming. My "Bachelorette's on a Boat" playlist was a hit which made me happy as well. That night we stayed in and casually sipped on some drinks while binge watching a Netflix show, and we all slowly but surely crawled into our respective beds and called it a night.
Saturday morning was the same routine. We cleaned the house, had some coffee by the pool, and ate breakfast. That day we decided to stay at the house and have a barbecue/pool party. We had a theme: neon, so we all dressed up in neon bathing suits, put some sparkles on our body, and hung out by the pool eating burgers and sipping on some cocktails.
That night we decided to dress up and take the beautiful bride out for some fun. We went to a bar that had a live band that was singing country music. We danced, got the bride serenaded, and had an amazing last night.
Sunday morning we cleaned and packed up our things, and headed to a pool where we could lounge for the day waiting for our respective flights. My flight was unfortunately delayed so I didn't get home and into my bed until 4:30 in the morning.
Overall though, it was an amazing trip. All nine girls got a long with no drama, we shared many laughs, and created many memories. I can't wait until the wedding!
