Students around the world have slowly but surely been returning back to school after months of questioning whether or not it would be safe. Of course, that question is still up in the air as college students move back into their dorms. I myself was nervous moving back to school and exposing myself to even more people, but I had to remind myself, it must be for a good reason.... right? I'll let you be the judge. Below is a pros and cons list for going back to school during a global pandemic.
Pros:
Students will be able to have in person learning (which is a huge benefit for students who require that style of learning)
Students have the chance to return back to a place they are familiar and comfortable with
By being exposed to more germs, students are potentially building up their immune system
Students feel less isolated
Cons:
Easier to spread germs
Can result in virtual learning which shuts down in person classes
Kids get sent home, potentially spreading the virus even more
With the spread of the virus comes the closure of businesses
Everything could potentially shut down again
Fells like you can't trust anyone
Tensions are high
Students are less likely to pay attention with virtual learning
