How To Be A More Positive Person

So life isn't the greatest right now and you can find yourself being more of a Debbie downer than usual. Trust me I get it, I've been there and I hated it. I absolutely hated how negative I was all the time and I could see it affecting my relationships. So I decided to metaphorically slap myself in the face and do everything to be even a little more positive. This is how I did it, maybe it will help you (or not)!


  1. Start everyday with a positive note, "Today is going to be a good day. I will not let anything upset me".

  2. Practice gratitude, consider keeping a gratitude journal.

  3. Focus on good things. Challenging and unfortunate situations are a part of life, but you CANNOT dwell!

  4. Practice positive self talk because the way you talk to yourself really matters. When you catch yourself talking negatively, try to flip the script.

  5. Spend time and surround yourself with positive people who can lift you up and see the bright side of things.
