Retinol is great for anti-aging and collagen production. When used properly it can renew the skin, make a difference in texture, skin tone, acne, scarring, and pigmentation.
Retinol can make things go right, but also so wrong. You have to start with the right product and right amount for your skin. If you don't, you'll be walking around with a chemically burned and peeling face. In the beginning, start off slow and gradually increase to build up your tolerance.
How To Use Retinol
Start by removing your makeup and washing your face with an oil/gel cleanser
Apply a toner
Squeeze a pea size amount onto your finger
Dot on the forehead, cheeks, jawline, and chin
Gently rub the product in
Apply moisturizer
You want to start off using it 2-3 times a week at .01% and increase over time. Be mindful if you are also applying Vitamin C or Hyaluronic Acid, there could be a bad reaction. Always wear sunscreen when using retinol. You should start seeing results around the 12 week mark!
