The Backwards Make-Up Trend

During the peak of the global pandemic, while everything was shut down, I found myself spending a lot of time on Tik Tok. One trend that was constantly popping up on my page was applying your make up in a different order.

Normally, this is the correct order for applying makeup:

1. Primer

2. Foundation

3. Concealer

4. Setting Powder

5. Bronzer

6. Blush

7. Mascara

8. Setting Spray

However, with this new technique, this would be the new order:

1. Moisturizer

2. Setting Powder

3. Setting Spray

4. Primer

5. Concealer

6. Foundation

7. Blush

8. Bronzer

This technique is supposed to give the illusion of flawless skin/makeup.

When I tried the trend, I noticed that my makeup stayed in place and lasted a lot longer than normal. But did it look any different/better? No.
