This week I have the pleasure of celebrating another year around the sun, aka, my birthday. Now I know what you're all thinking- "24? She's so young!", but personally I'm starting to freak out about the never ending, increasing number that is my age.
I feel like it's an unwritten to telly ou that a lot has happened during this year; 23 was a turbulent year for me. Starting with the loss of my job in marketing to making a career change to teaching and working as a Teaching Assistant in a k-8 school, you can safely say I experienced a lot this year.

"Birthdays are inevitable, beautiful, and very particular moments in our lives! Moments that bring precious memories back, celebrate the present times, and give hope for the future". - Babe Arish
When I look back at my year as a 23 year old, I can confidently say I have changed into a different person. The only thing that has stayed the same is me believing I have grown as a person. And that's the beauty of it all- each year you have the chance to grow and blossom into a new person.

"We turn not older with years, but newer every day". - Emily Dickinson
I've learned a lot this year, and I'm excited to take these lessons into my 24th year. I have learned that life has it's ups and downs. I have learned that if people do not treat you with kindness, they are not worth your energy. I have learned that nothing can stop me. I have learned to believe in myself, my dreams, and my visions. I have learned that without my friends, family, and everyone reading this support, none of this would be possible. So, thank you, and cheers to 24 years!
