Bullies At This Age... Really?

I recently turned 21 years old, and with that I thought came a certain sense of maturity. Now I know what you're thinking, "21 year olds mature? No way". Yes, I know the 20's are commonly known as the times of drinking and endless adventures, but that is not what I am talking about.

I thought, that by our 20's, people would be mature enough to not be a bully. I don't mean a bully in the sense of physically hitting someone though. I don't know if it's just my generation or not, but I find that bullies my age are everywhere, and it comes through as superiority.

A lot of people tend to believe that they are better than others. As a result, those people, or "bullies", write off others as "stupid" and "beneath them". This idea is absurd, and the fact that it is occurring is angering (I would know because it has happened to me).

No one is superior over anyone. No one is better than another. People may have different interest and knowledge about different things, but that does not mean they are on a lower level than you. It's time to be an adult, get off your high horse, and stop being a bully.
