I Got A New Job!

I am so happy and excited to announce that I got a job as a marketing coordinator for a company called GoTab! I won't lie to you, when I was looking for jobs I was feeling extremely discouraged. I was constantly applying to jobs and I rarely heard back. Finally, I got a phone call one day and was asked to interview for the position of marketing coordinator. I jumped with joy. I went through three rounds and quickly received a job offer. To say that I was happy was an understatement (I cried a lot of happy tears).

I've been working for three weeks, and I have enjoyed every second of it. The first week consisted of meeting the team and starting some basic training. By the end of the week I came to the conclusion that the desk chair I had was not going to cut it; I needed a chair that I could sit in for 8 hours five days a week. I also realized that my eyes were not used to staring at a computer screen all day everyday- blue light glasses were going to become a necessity.

Week two consisted of more product training and a lot of writing assignments. It was during this time I really had to hone in on my time management skills and juggle the heavy workload with the heavy meeting schedule. Unfortunately or me, this is not something that I can do overnight, but I'm hoping that once the training is over I won't be as overwhelmed. It was also during this period I found out that I could not make it past 10:30 pm (like I was literally knocked out dead to the world).

Currently I am on my third week, still in training, still doing a lot of writing, but now adding some more contention creation into the mix! I have found I have a hard time focusing when I am surrounded by silence, so I've started playing music low in the background and have found it helpful. I can now make it to 11pm, but that's really pushing it for me (I'm starting to feel like a grandma).

Overall I am really happy and enjoying the work and the people I am working with. Everyone was extremely welcoming, and the company does a great job making everyone feel appreciated. I'm excited to finish my product training and just fully focus on any assignments that came my way. I really look forward to my future at the company, and promise to keep you all updated!
