Movies I Watched Too Young

When I was a little girl, my parents believed that because other kids my age were watching these movies, I could too. They were wrong. The Cat In The Hat, and How The Grinch Stole Christmas, have both scarred me for life.
To this day, I cannot watch The Cat In The Hat. I have no idea why, but in the live movie, The Cat absolutely terrifies me. Maybe it's the eyes, or the voice of actor Mike Myers, but whenever The Cat pops up on the screen and speaks, my skin crawls.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas, released in 2003, is a different story. When I watched the movie as a young girl, I was incredibly scared of the Grinch. In fact, it wasn't until I was a sophomore in college that I got over my fear. I can now watch the movie with pure enjoyment.
So, here's my tip: make sure your kids don't scare easily (like me), and are prepared to watch movies with live, scary looking characters!
