My Favorite Thing About Sunday's

For as long as I can remember, every Sunday morning my family and I would eat pancakes for breakfast. At first, it started with us driving down the road to IHop. Somehow, the restaurant burnt down, but the tradition kept on. When we moved away, my dad took on the job of making the family pancakes for breakfast every Sunday morning.

This is my absolute favorite thing about Sunday's. Usually, everyone in my family wakes up at different times, so it's rare that w sit down together in the morning. But when Sunday rolls around, we are all awake and eating our pancakes together. We drink our coffee or juice, eat our fluffy pancakes, and talk for a while.

It's usually the only day of the week, and time, that we are calm instead of at each other's throats. Sunday breakfast is definitely one of the biggest things I miss about home when I am away at college. Since being home because of Covid-19, the tradition has continued and I couldn't be happier.
