My Obsession With Macarons

A macaron is a sweet meringue, extremely airy dessert. Difficult to make, the delicate cookie instantly softens and crumbles in your mouth the moment you bite into one. And I simply can't get enough.
My love for macarons did not develop until after I visited France (where they are famously known for being made), when a close friend of mine brought me to a pastry shop near my home. Not only did they sell coffee and pastries, but they also sell freshly baked macarons.
Since then, my obsession only grew. I fell in love with the texture, and the fact that I could devour multiple and not feel sick to my stomach. My strong love for the dessert is definitely something my dad is NOT happy about since macarons are on the slightly expensive side.
That is why I have always wanted to learn how to make them, but I am afraid I don't have the patience for the sightly difficult and delicate process. Who knows though, maybe one day I'll try it out? For now, I'll have to keep purchasing them, sorry dad!

Whatever makes you happy honey
